NO KNOW BANS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT
If you have a fire that gets away, whether in a burn ban community or not, YOU are responsible for it, and will be responsible to pay the entire cost of extinguishing the fire. You may also be fined and have criminal charges filed against you. You will be responsible to other landowners for property damages and may be assessed a land and/or timber surcharge. If you are in a community with a burn ban in force you will likely face additional fines and criminal charges. Conviction on criminal charges could result in fines, imprisonment, or both.
